This view provides a clear display of walls where you want to place your curtain wall.<br />Step 2: Activate the Wall Tool and Select a Curtain Wall Type<br />Navigate to the Architecture Tab:<br />On the ribbon, click the Architecture tab.<br /><br />Select the Wall Tool:<br />Click on the Wall icon in the Build panel.<br /><br />Choose a Curtain Wall Type:<br /><br />In the Properties palette (or Type Selector), click the drop-down menu and choose a curtain wall type (commonly named something like Curtain Wall: Default or a project-specific curtain wall type).<br />If a suitable curtain wall type isn’t available, you can load one by clicking Load Family under the Insert tab and selecting a curtain wall family from the Revit library.<br />Step 3: Place the Curtain Wall<br />Draw the Curtain Wall:<br /><br />With the curtain wall type active, click to define the start point of the wall.<br />Move your cursor along the desired path and click again to set the end point.<br />Revit will place the curtain wall with a default grid pattern that divides the wall into panels.<br />Verify Placement:<br /><br />Ensure the wall aligns with your design intent.<br />You can always adjust its position using the Move or Modify commands.<br />Step 4: Modify the Curtain Grid<br />Select the Curtain Wall:<br />Click on the curtain wall to activate the Curtain Wall Tools on the ribbon.<br /><br />Edit the Grid Layout:<br /><br />Add or Remove Grid Lines:<br />Use the Add Curtain Grid or Remove Curtain Grid commands available in the Modify | Curtain Wall Tools tab to adjust the number and layout of grid lines.<br />Adjust Grid Spacing:<br />Click on a grid line and drag it to reposition, or select it and modify its spacing in the Properties palette.<br />Customize Panels and Mullions:<br /><br />Panels: You can change the panel type by selecting a panel and adjusting its properties or by editing the panel style in the curtain wall’s type properties.<br />Mullions: To add, remove, or modify mullions, use the Add Mullion tool from the Curtain Wall Tools tab. You can select an existing mullion to modify its properties, such as profile or material.<br />Step 5: Finalize and Review<br />Review in 3D:<br />Switch to a 3D view (press F3 or select a 3D view from the Project Browser) to examine the curtain wall in context.
